Hon.Dan Yingi
BURUTU- Member representing Burutu Constituency 1 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Dan Yingi has tendered his score card and stewardship as he declared interest again for the seat comes 2019.
Yingi made this known during the weekend in a well-attended meeting of the Burutu PDP leadership .Hon. Yingi who is the Chairman House Committee on Environment, Oil and Gas for the second time presented his score card and gave a detailed stewardship of the confidence reposed on him as a lawmaker and how he has not disappointed the mandate so far.
He thanked the people of Burutu Constituency 1 through the party leadership for the privilege given to him in 2011 and in 2015 as a two time member of the house.
His words “As a lawmaker, I am saddled with the responsibility of making laws not just laws but people oriented laws where motions and bills takes the day, also influencing of projects and carrying out constituency projects as well as oversight functions”
In presenting his score card, he said, ‘‘There is no area as a lawmaker that I am found wanting, I am a voice at the hallow chambers, my voice is been lend as a contributing factor in the legislative business of the house. My official assignments are being documented in the archives of the State legislation. They are public document which could be accessed.
“From 2012 – date, I have moved motions, sponsored and co-sponsored bills which all were given the preferential attention”.
I am punctual to duty and never in a day derelicts, neglect or abandon my duties as a lawmaker. I always resume duty as it is required.
Hon. Dan while presenting his score card on projects reveals that, as a lawmaker, I am entitled to Constituency projects as well as influence projects in the budget and through the intervention agency’s in the State one of which is DESOPADEC.
Here is my score card on Projects
– Constituency Projects and Year:
° Oboro – (had no secondary school compound) hence construction of a modern 6block of classrooms with well-furnished compound for the secondary school & Okpokunu – construction of a 3block classroom with a Corper’ lodge (2012)
° Okpokunu – renovation of the secondary school & Burutu – construction of 6classroom block at Ofou P/s (2013)
° Thousands of furniture including chair and table meant for teachers/students/pupils were provided and supplied to selected schools to further improve learning conditions in the constituency. (2014)
° Thousands of furniture including chair and table meant for teachers/students/pupils were provided and supplied to selected schools to further improve learning conditions in the constituency. (2016)
° Okpokunu – renovation of the P/s & Edegbene – renovation of the P/s (2017)
° Akparemogbene – construction of 6classroom” block & Esemogbene – construction of 6classroom block (2018), Influenced Projects are but not limited to:Odimodi – fencing of Eluwe P/s° Kou – construction of semidetached bungalow° Obotebe – fencing of Obotebe Sec. Sch° Gbekebor- construction of a MDGs partnership Health center; construction of a semidetached bungalow as teachers quarter° Kiagbodo – construction of a civic center° Bikorogha – construction of a twin bungalow of teachers quarter° Ayakoromo – complete fencing of health center; comprehensive renovation of blocks of classroom, Ngbilebiri P/s° Provision of Solar Powered Lights at some communities in the constituency° Enekorogha – construction of a 6block classroom° Edegbene – construction of a model 6block of classroom° Okrika – Concrete landing Jetty° Edegbene – a construction of a concrete pavement road under construction° Ogulagha – Renovation of the Pere Palace
Others include; Burutu, Sokebulo township roads, Modern school in Obotebe, full blown accreditation of Burutu Marine School, Renovation of Assembly hall at Ngbile P/s just to mention.
– Human Capacity Building and Empowerment:
° Strategic Empowerment: widows and aged considered vulnerable in the constituency are being provided for in the past 6 years with the needed support like wise OUTBOARD ENGINE/CARS were being given to atleast 2persons each in a ward and some instances community in the constituency, the youth benefited majorly on the OUTBOARD ENGINES which is to enable them to contribute meaningfully through water transport system while a number of cars were being given to certain individuals in the various communities in the wards as part of strategic empowerment (names withheld)
° I have empowered and engaged constituents as artisans on Skilled Acquiring and Entrepreneur Development (SAED) with starter packs across the constituency.
° At present pupils and students of all academia are on my scholarship scheme.
° Jamb forms, S.S 111 enrolment and school fees have been paid on countless occasions for constituents as well as for higher learning endeavor.
All the aforementioned jobs were given to sons and daughters from the wards and are verifiable.
‘‘Therefore, he reiterates that, his intention is not far-etched but to consolidate on the template and precedence being set. He further thanked the party for the audience and prayed the electorate to vote wisely and draw their judgement from what he has done pleading that, there is no other person to vote for than himself’’ he declared
The former party boss in the LGA Hon. Godwin Edumogiren in his remark, highlighted the need to return Hon. Dan vis-a-vis his spark of accessibility, humility and sterling leadership acumen coupled with his developmental strides and achievements asserting that, Hon. Dan will not disappoint when returned but will tirelessly work to consolidate on his good works.
Hon. (Dr) Sunday Ezonfade on his part, thanked the people of Burutu and that of the party leadership so far and pleaded more support from the leadership to return Hon. Yingi to do more and to consolidate on the template.
In response, the LGA party chairman Hon. Ebike Oromoni thanked Hon. Dan, his team and the party leadership from the arms for keeping faith with his led party leadership at the LGA.
Hon. Ebike reiterated that, Dan is a loyal and a committed party man who is always in a right stand with the party. He maintained that, Hon. Dan should seek the face of God who is the ultimate and that the audience before us today are not new, everything starts and ends with God hence seeking the face of God is non-negotiable if you must succeed. He specifically thanked Hon. Dan for not letting the party down. ‘‘After hearing what you have done so far and seeing your score card, I make bold to say, as a party, I am proud of you, at least you have a line to your campaign slip, therefore I pray you succeed on whatever mission even now and the future that is good’’ he said.
Hon. Adidi Preboye remarked that Hon. Dan is a house hold name and a very toward man which has earned his respect and that of the party. Hon. Dan has been a very loyal and committed party man and prayed that God should see him through on this wise knowing that power belongs to God he said.
Barr. Cleric Alaowei speaking, he said, Hon. Dan is a testament, we have seen your works on how you have touched the constituency and as well imparted the constituents lives, very importantly sir, because of you my village Esemogbene is rejoicing now and by virtue of the constituency project of 2018 in my village which has brought Joy to us at Esemogbene, I pray that God grant you the grace to succeed he said.
Mr. Pascal Ekemieyefa speaking, he said, he that asketh receiveth, hence I pray, that which you seeketh, may you find. Most importantly, be praying for God to steer the heart of the electorates to work for you at the D-day he stressed.
