WSWPA passes vote of confidence on Okowa/Otuaro in 2019; backs Izoukumor’s DTHA ambition

WARRI- A socio-political pressure group, Warri South West Political Alliance( WSWPA) in Warri South West LGA of Delta State,  has passed vote of confidence on Delta State governor, Senator  Ifeanyi Okowa and deputy governor, Barr, Kingsley Otuaro for second tenure in 2019 general election. Also, it gave support to Chief Favour O. Izoukumor for Delta state House of Assembly in 2019.

WSWPA made its position during its formal inauguration/flag-up ceremony held in Warri today (Saturday) in an address delivered by the National co-ordinator, comrade Solomon Eyione, said ‘‘ We the entire members of Warri South-West Political Alliance (WSWPA) wish to pass vote of confidence on His Excellency , Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and his deputy Barr. Kingsley Otuaro by overwhelming adopting them for the second tenure comes 2019.

‘‘We want to unequivocally say that in spite of the economic recession and pauty of funds in governance, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okoqa and his deputy have done well and therefore deserve a second term’’ the group said.

The group also back the ambition of Chief Izoukumor O. Favour for Delta State House of Assembly in 2019. Chief Izoukumor O. Favour is a serving commissioner in Delta State Oil Producing commission (DESOPADEC) from the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality.

The WSWPA is co-founded by Ijaw/ Itsekiri ethnic Nationalities in the Warri South West Local Government of Delta State.

The National co-ordinator comrade Solomon highlighted the groups objectives as include, necessity to mobilize grass root support towards delivering Senator Ifeanyi Okowa/ Kingsley Otuaro joint ticket in 2019. As well as support for Chief Izoukumor Favour Delta State House of Assembly ambition in 2019.

Other objectives, according to the National co-ordinator, to promote harmonious peaceful co-existence among the Ijaws and Itsekiris  in Warri South Local Government area, mobilization of efficient political campaign management of sensitizing voters by moving from door to door to identify and woo potential voters for there-election bid of governor Okowa and other adopted candidates.

High point of the ceremony was the formal inauguration of the group’s executives and the cultural dance performances of  both the Itsekiri and the Ijaw cultural dancers that were cheered by the large audience.
