WARRI- Winner of the Agbarho ward 11 People Democratic Party (PDP) mock councillorship primary election Hon. Solomon Otarighobe, yesterday has said that Agbarho community would work to ensure that the Executive Governor of Delta State Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa wins 2019 general election.
Hon. Otarighove said he would work to ensure Governor (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa wins his ward and other wards in Agbarho town while addressing members on a victory speech after being declared winner in a keenly contested but peaceful election.
Although, there was a mild protest at the election venue by aggrieved supporters of one of the contestants. But was put under control by the leaders during the mock ward primary held at the country home of Brigadier General retired Dominic Oneya, Agbarho town in Ughelli Local Government of Delta State.
Otarighobe declared ‘‘My today PDP Agbarho ward 11 primary victory has given me the confidence to join hands with others in my Local Government to work to ensure we return Delta State Governor, His Excellency Senator( Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for his second tenure come 2019 unfailingly to acknowledge him of good governance and service delivery’’
He expressed his gratitude to God and his ward members, party leaders, especially to Brigadier General Dominic Oneya, retired who he described as a man of quintessential personality for given him the opportunity to serve the people as a councillor- elect.
Hon.Otarighobe who had served once in Ughelli North Council as a member in transition caretaker committee has pledged that he would not disappoint his people and promised to carry his co-contestants along, if voted into power during the general election.
A Chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and special assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Arthor Okowas’s administration on community development, High Chief Gabriel Ojoba (JP) who moderated the PDP Agbarho ward 11 primaries had admonished the winner to show exemplary character as a worthy ambassador representing the Agbarho community, if voted into power. He warned that the party leadership would not hesitate to recall him back with the power vested on the ward leadership, if found wanting.
Chief Ojoba reiterated that Delta State belonged to PDP and would join hands with others to deliver Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for the second tenure to mark as an appreciation for his service delivery and human capital development across the state through his SMART agenda.
