The Obelikpeyah family of Ukpokiti and Igbudu communities of Agbarah Kingdom have honoured the council chairman of Warri South Council Chairman Dr. Michael Tidi, a grand reception, following his academic and political achievements on infrastructural and human capital development.
In a welcome address formally signed by the two family heads, Pa Ulori Victor Ukutemi Obelikpeyah (family head) and Prince (Chief) Julius Kpesu Obelikpeyah,( Family Secretary) which was read by Chief) Julius Kpesu Obelikpeyah on behalf of the families, noted that the Obelikpeyah family in Agbarah kingdom was excited to receive Dr. Michael Tidi into his home as an achiever in both his personal academic life and as chairman in Warri South LGA of Delta.
Accotding to them, ”It’s a thing of great joy for us to be gathered here today. Firstly, I want to give my profund gratitude to God Almighty through His beloved son, Jesus Christ for keeping us alive to see this day. May their names be reverenced and glanfed forever

”This might be coming a little late but it is better late than never. No time is to acknowledge a worthy son. We want to say we’re proud to associate ourselves with your giant strides in governance and human capital development.
”In these days when young men of your age are indulging in unwholesome activi you decided to follow the path of honour and dignity, seeking and acquiring all tha there’s in education including a doctor of philosophy PhD and a Bachelor of Law in equity.
”In your young age you’ve proven that there’s nothing that cannot be achieved with dint of hard work and God’s grace in an era when some say school is a scam our earnest prayers that Jehovah continue to grant you wisdom to accomplishmore successes in the remaining year in office and also to grant you all that you des furtherance of your political aspirations, even higher office by His grace, we make bold to say as a family we’re solidly behind you to achieve your aspirations” they said.
Dr. Michael Tidi expressed joy and gratitude to God and thanked his family for the honour bestowed to him for a grand reception ceremony for him on his achievements both his personal educational feat as well as a council chairman in Warri South LGA of Delta. Saying that these achievements wouldn’t have been possible without God and support of his family.
He pledged always to make his family and the entire people in Warri South proud as council chairman as well as in any future leadership position given to him.
He said this is the second grand reception ceremony organized for him by his people . That a similar ceremony was organized for him during his first tenure as council chairman of Warri South LGA.
He noted that his joy knows no bound for the peace and security enjoyed in Warri and it’s metropolis during his reign as council boss in Warri South LGA.
He appealed to comedians and news reporters to always potray Warri in good light in their reportage and jokes, saying that negative reports in Warri drives away potential investors from the oil city of Warri.
