TIV youths embarrass Senator Akume over wicked lies about herdsmen Killings 

    *As Senator Statement got cited by Miyeti leaders over killings in Benue before AI

 A youth Organization comprising almost all Youths in Benue State has come out to call on  one of the SenatorsRepresenting the State in the National Assembly Senator George Akume tourgently Apologized to the People of the state and also  be prepared to beheld liable if herders attack the state again.

The Youth Organization known as the Tiv Youths Organization (TYO)through their President Timothy Hember described Akume as adisgrace to the Benue people and one man that must be held responsible if andwhen the Benue People are ever attacked again by the Fulani herdsmen followingthe Senator Speech some weeks back that the Killings in Benue state was not byFulani herders by  the People of Benue State Killing themselves.

This statement of Akume some Weeks ago seemed to be creating ripples and anger around the Benue state following the citing of thestatements by Senator George Akume by the Miyiti Allah Kauti Hore NationalSecretary Saleh Alhassan Quoting George Akume statement to buttress theirdefense before Amnesty International (AI) sitting that the Fulani herders arenot the once attacking the Benue People.

According to the Youth Organization (TYO)President  Hember Timothy ‘’Yesterday, during presentations of the Amnesty International (AI)reports on herders and farmers killings ,the national secretary of Miyeti Allah Kautai Hore Eng Saleh Alhassan cited the statements of APC leader in Benue Senator George Akume as a confirmation that the people of Benue state are the ones killing themselves and not Fulaniherdsmen.’’

 In the words of Hember “This Statement by Akume which the Fulani herders are bandying about is a great disservice to the memory of the thousands of Benue People killed by the Fulani herdsmen and aninsult to the Benue People who have bore the brunt of this great Genocidal actsof the Fulani herdsmen only for George Akume for his own Political greed andnuisances describing all as in house killings”

The Youth President on Behalf of the Youths in Benue state  vowed to hold Senator George Akume Responsible if the Fulani herdsmen should attack the state again s a result of the clean bill of health given to them by the so-called Senator Akume.

It would be recalled that several weeks ago the Senator did openly said that the Fulani herdsmen were not involved in theKillings in his state but that the Benue people are those carrying out the killings on themselves which then sparked serious uproar not just in the statebut all over the Country.

It would also be recalled that Daily Watch has several confirmed that the Senator has been in the forefront of Benue People fighting against the Anti Grazing laws for which he was given the mandate to pick a candidate for the APC ticket that would help abrogate the state antiGrazing laws put in place by the Ortom administration to protect the People of the State from the Menace of the herdsmen

Attempts by Daily Watch to get the reaction of Senator Akume to the statement of the TIV Youths over the Miyiti Allahs  of his statement to deny their involvement in the killings in Benue state was not Possible as at Press time.
