Assistant Coach of the Nigeria Golden Eaglet, Jolomi Atune has commended the performance of the team in Turkey after defeating host Turkey 2-0 and Guatemala 5-1 in their first two games.
The former Under 15 Future Eagles Coach said the true test of the players will be known when they face teams like Senegal,Brazil or Spain.
Atune point that it is only a 21 man squad that made the trip for the Uefa invitational tournament and over thirty players are in camp back here in Nigeria doing very well too.
“Like what my head coach said in one of his interview, the fact that the players over there are doing fine does not mean they now have automatic shirt”.
” We still have quality players here who are good enough to do better over there. This means, every player must give their best in any given time to make the team to the 2019 Brazil Junior World Cup”.
“Nigeria is a power house in the Under 17 category, so they should not be carried away by these results, rather they should up their games because the team list will be very tight. Senegal, Spain, Brazil will give them the true test of the game”.
The Former World Cup winner will face Senegal this Thursday to test their strength.
