* Killing frustrated economic activities

Tension was very high as residents of fishing community in Oron local government area of Akwa Ibom State have seriously protest over incessant attack and killings of fishermen and boat owners on the waterways by suspected sea pirates.
It was gathered that security agents drafted to protect the waterways were incapacitated to salvage the situation as pirate seems to have over power them. Narrating the ordeal to journalists in Oron. A boat owner, Mr. Effiong Ating said the robbers attack on our fishermen and boat drivers during the incident as the sea pirate always laid their boat at high sea, having the opportunity to fight like a wounded lion and commit their evil crime.
The village Head of Udua Assang community in Oron local government area, Chief INIKO OFFIONG said the development is very unfortunate as the pirate activities have cause hardship on them without coming out to perform their daily job again. He said the killing look as if is on daily basis which I may say is massacare because some of them have not found during the attack and the waterways is not safe again as their is no security to that effect. Which their evil actions has frustrated economic activities in the communities, need government to intervene immediately.
He confirm that the pirates collected their boats, engine and probably raped their women without some of them having conscience over their actions “we have called on the Federal and State government to come to their aids to stop this ugly experience across their community.
The president of Boat Owner Association, Mr Sampson Oluwasegun said their action is uncalled for where they raped, killed without conscience and behave as an animal that has not exit before in planet earth, while believe government will take control of the situation.
He believes that government would not leave any stone unturn as far as this unfortunate experience on them, while advise the fishermen to exercise patient that government would intervene over their predicament
