The Chairman of the People  Democratic Party, Delta South, Chief Julius Takeme, JP has charged women to zealously guide their values and prize themselves as people with unique and  most valuable prize.

Chief Takeme noted thatthe place of valence as women can not be over said thus women should remember always that, they are wives as well as mothers and as such leaders.

 

‘’The society needs their upright and forthright value reorientation to survive. Women are the building blocks of the society, therefore guiding your values enthusiastically will correct ills of societal vices and decadence’’ Takeme stated.

 

Chief Takeme further commended the social advocacy group for their bold initiative and assured them of partnership noting that, the business of projecting women’s right is a laudable project that is all embracing.

 

Chief Takeme who was flanked by the Member-DTHA, Burutu Constituency 11, Hon. Pullah Ekpotuayerin and Chairman, Burutu LGA, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele gave the charge during the weekend while playing host to a social advocacy group known as Ijaw Women Connect (IWC) Western Zone in his country home in Warri.

 

Speaking on behalf of Ijaw Women Connect, Western Zone, the Chairperson, Comr. (Mrs.) Evelyn Ogeleka had inter alia opined that, their visit was occasioned by a search for partnership that found Chief Takeme above board as a prize personnel to protecting the rights of Ijaw Women.

 

Mrs. Ogeleka noted that the group, Ijaw Women Connect (IWC) is to project the rights of the Ijaw Woman devoid of bias and urban sentiments.

 

“Other than the second fiddle or coequal treatment meted to the Ijaw Woman in tradition and family platforms, the Ijaw woman in the creeks need to enjoy such rights and privileges as enjoyed by their counterparts across the globe” – Mrs. Ogeleka stated.

 

Mrs. Ogeleka had earlier acknowledged the sterling leadership and the humble but robust testament Chief Takeme has garnered overtime noting that his appointment as Chairman, PDP, Delta South is well deserved..

 

Mrs. Ogeleka while congratulating Chief Takeme on his appointment lauded Governor Okowa on his penchant in appointing prized hand such as Chief Takeme to man the exalted office of Chairman, Delta South, PDP.

 

Mrs. Ogeleka of Ijaw Women Connect (IWC) Western Zone climaxed her remarks with the official presentation of a portrait in recognition of Chief Takeme’s prized and forthright leadership.

 

Rt. Hon. Joseph Alubeze, Hon. Ebike Oromoni, Mr. Sunny Afore, Hon. Ignatius Ziakegha in their separate remarks commended the women wing and urged them to create values and stay true to their course.
