Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr says he is not in a hurry to make a decision on his future as Nigeria’s coach after the team’s defeat to Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.
The 66-year-old, who still has a year left on his contract, has faced unrelenting criticism over tactics and choice of players.
However, Rohr has confirmed that he will take time after tomorrow’s third-place play-off against Tunisia to decide the next step.
The German took charge of the three-time African champions in August 2016 and qualified for the 2018 world cup in Russia where the team failed to make it past the group stage.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa says the team must move on quickly from their disappointing AFCON 2019 semifinal loss to Algeria and end the competition on a high by winning their third-place match against Tunisia tomorrow.
the three-time champions’ hope of making it to the final was dashed by the Desert Foxes of Algeria who handed them a 2-1 defeat at the Cairo international stadium on Sunday.
The third place match against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia will kick off tomorrowat the Al Salam stadium, Cairo at 8pm Nigerian time.
