A stranded patient at central hospital Warri cries out for help

WARRI-A former staff of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), Jude Etewidonor who is currently having “Heart failure” has said that he ran to Warri Central Hospital for fear of dying at home even when he knew he had no money for medical bills.

 

This was disclosed to our correspondent who visited the Warri Central Hospital recent by a sympathiser who preferred to be anonymous. He said his interest was to attract public attention to the plight of Etewidonor with a view to generate funds for his medical bills.

In a chat with Etewidonor tated that he brought himself to the Central Hospital in Warri stressing,”If i sit at home, i will die at home. So, i come by myself. I am here to see how I can get help from the hospital and philanthropists.”

 

He said that he has no one to call for assistance adding that his step brothers and sisters have refused to assist him. He added that his friends have also deserted him.

 

When asked why his immediately family were not coming to his aide, he said, “I lost my wife some years back and my children are very young to cater for me. So I am alone in this situation. My step brothers have refused to assist me. I am just here to get medical assistance.”

 

When asked how he want to get help to continue his treatment, he said, “I asked one of my friends to help me sell my car but buyers are not coming. So as soon as I get a buyer, I will use the money for my medical care.”

The fourty eight year old man also claimed that he had sought medical attentions in some Government hospital before he came to the Central Hospital in Warri.

While calling on both government and well to do Deltans to come to his aide, Etewidonor said,”I need help. Any person who can give to me should come. “
