Players of Delta Stars of Ughelli
LAGOS- Chairman of Delta State Football Club of Ughelli, Godwin Adode has attributed his Club 0-1 away victory against Stationary stores of Lagos in the week 8 of the Nigeria National league, NNL to sincerity in players motivation.
Adode who is well known as Coach Tete told our correspondent in an exclusive interview that it is as a result of hard and collective effort of the players, technical crew, supporters and true motivation that is giving them a decent result.
“Our worst game is when we lost to Crown FC in our debut at home and sharing point with our sister club Delta Force left us in a very ugly position in our group table”.
” I understand what will become of us if we fail to up our game. So, I device the sincere motivation formulae and that has helped us not to loss any game after four matches”.
“I most commend the effort of the Delta State Government through the office of Tonobok Okowa Chairman of the Sports Commission for supporting us this far”.
Delta State Defeat Osun Utd 3-1, played a 1-1 draw with Delta Force, travel to share point with Dynamite Force goalless before recorded their first away victory 0-1 against Stores.
Delta Stars has move to 7th position with same points with Delta Force occupying 6th position leaving Osun Utd and Station stores in the red zone with 5 and 7 points respectively.
Crown FC defeated Remo Stars 2-1 to remain as leaders with 17 points, while Nnewi systematically secure the three points against Delta Force in a 4-3 score.
Dynamite now 8th position in the group B2 following the loss to Ikorodu United in Lagos 0-1.
How ever assistant Coach of Delta Stars Felix Onigbe said it is victory all the way as the will ambush Ikorodu United in the Ughelli Stadium this whenever the Bet9ja NNL resume the week 9 fixture.
