ABUJA- Another tension is said to be secretly brewing between the top hierarchy of the National Assembly and the Presidency few days after a purported support moves by the Presidency to use Senator Omo-Agege to stage a mace stealing moves in the Senate which was geared towards moving for the jugular of the Senate President who was in the UK on official trip as at then.
Daily Watch investigations confirmed that the Saraki’s inner caucus team who were said to have held a meet some few days ago to review the Mace stealing issue, the aim and presidency role in it were said also to have carved and mapped out serious strategy to hit the President hard so as to show that the Senate and National assembly are not just an independent arm of Government but can also hit at the President for daring npt only t back a coup against the senate President but institute several investigative process on the Senate President, his wife and his aides all with the intent of rubbishing and embarrassing the Senate President and the esteemed office.
The Senate President Caucus therefore plans to investigate series of illegal Withdrawals by the Presidency without Senate or National Assembly Approvals and investigate how the release was made possible, who authorized such release and who gave the projects that there were release for approval knowing that most were never in the budget with the intent of also rubbishing the Buhari’s administration and prove that it is also in the act of pilfering of National resources.
Daily Watch investigation confirmed that it was this fear that propelled the President to hurriedly push a letter to the National Assembly for inclusion of a 462 Billion secret withdrawal from the Federations account in the 2018 Budget to lessen the uproar the Senate investigations would have elicited amongst Nigerians.
Also slated for investigations by the Senate to hit back at the President is another 500 million Said to have been secretly withdrawn from the Federations to Julius Berger for a Helipad in the personal compound of President Buhari without the Senate approval or in the Budget of the Federal Republic of Nigerian anytime.
The Senate Caucus according to Daily Watch has mapped out over six illegal and unapproved billions secretly taken from the Federations/ excess account by the President without N/A or budgeted approvals.
Attempts by Daily Watch to reach out to the Buhari’s Media team on the Helipad and 462 billion withdrawn without recourse to the National Assembly was not possible as all of them refused responding to messages to their phones or picking our calls.
