WARRI- Angry traders on today (Thursday) closed down the Popular Robson G. Shopping Plaza in Warri as suspected armed robbers allegedly burgled and looted over nine shops in the plaza overnight.
Daily Watch gathered that armed robbers made their way into the popular market easily and carted away Mobile phones, phone accessories, other devices and unspecified amount of money from the shops.
The robbery incidence may have been possible due to the protest by the vigilante by stopping work for two weeks who guard the market for unpaid salaries.
The ugly incident forced the angry traders to closed down shops in a peaceful protest to register their anger against the management of the Shopping plaza.
The traders caused serious vehicular traffic along the Okumagba Avenue demanding to see the top manager of the Shopping plaza.
We gathered that three shops were allegedly burgled and looted last week by suspected armed robbers before today’s incidence.
