Rivers state house of assembly has paseed the bill seeking to prohibit street trading illegal market, road side car dealers and other street business have been passed into law.
Hon.Aji Ibaniwa while presented the bill on the floor of the house noted that the law which is seeking to sanitize the state will require collaboration among agencies and ministries especially ministry of urban development and transport for effective implementation.
He said that the law is not restricted to street traders alone, road side car dealers, but to motor parks and illegal street marketers, But the law also addresses the beauty of the state. Adding that, relevant agencies should abide by the respective rules.
The law maker representing ONELGA Constituency, Christian Anyakwor submitted that there should be an institution properly structured with an administrative heads so that subsequently the institution could be appropriated for.
