Shedrrack Agediga Foundation (SAF), an environmental and human rights non violent organization owned by Dr. Shedrack Agediga, the current serving executive director of DESOPADEC led hundreds of voluntary workers on sanitation exercise  to mark the famous  Martin Luther King Jnr day in Effurun and other parts of Warri.

The event had both top government functionaries of Delta state governement, activists and civic society organization as well as students from higher learning institutions in Delta state to join SAF to honour Martin Luther King Jnr day by carrying out a voluntary clean-up exercise in Warri and environs.

The chairman of SAF Dr. Shedrack Agediga thanked the various volunteer clean-up exercise workers, particularly local government and state governemt top functionaries, including Comrade Rex Ekiugbo, Senior special Assistance to the Delta state governor on civic society groups, noted that ” This is a commemoration of the great legent Martin Luther King Jnr day celebrated globally.

 

 

” We are students of Martin Luther King Jnr non-violent agitation for political and environmental change.

”We have to join the rest of the world to honour our father Martin Luther King Jnr to celebrate today of an international legend who had proved beyond to the world that you can change the world not by through violence, but by articulate robust and pragmatic mathematical approach of your argument to conquer your opoonents for the a great change.” He said.

He urged the youths in Niger Delta to emulate  Matin Luther King Jnr to carry out their agitation to engage both givernement and multinatiinals to change the story of under development, deprivation and neglect of the Niger Delta region.
