Okowa expresses satisfaction on vocational training center in Delta

Executive Governor of Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed joy and satisfaction on the level of development and enthusiasm of trainees at Agbarho vocational educational center in Ughelli LGA of Delta state.

Leaders of the delegation, Chief Akpos Edefevwotu, senior special assistant (SSA), pastor  Kess Numuoja, special assistant (SA) to the governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in their separate speeches at youths  the training center on inspection visit at Agbarho, said ‘‘ We am pleased with the facilities, training center , staff and students commitment to change their future with skill acquisition. I encourage you to put up more effort to come out with a flying collar. You should know that life starts from here. This vocational training will make you to be self-reliant and independent, if you put your best in it. Your potential is greater than your credentials’’ they admonished.

They pledged on behalf of the Delta state government to empower youths in various capacity training programmes, both academic and voctational programmses to give hope to the youths as part of the governor’s SMART agenda.

In her welcome address, the administrator of the vocational center, Rev. Elizabeth Aburu, expressed gratitude to the governor for for his inspection visit as well as  provision of facilities to the training center such as computers, sewing machines, renovation of the building and so on.

Her words, ‘‘ I am most delighted for the fact that the governor sent his aides to visit our training center. I want to thank his excellency for the provision of training facilities in a short time I was deployed tonthis center.My students are doing well and I want to assure you that next week, we are going for an exhibition and we will come up one of the best in the exhibition’’

Rev. Aburu however appealed for more support from the governor and other meaningful individuals to help expand the training center to encourage and accommodate the youths who are ready to enrol for the training center to turn around their future.

Members of the inspection team include, Chief Akpos Edefevwotu,Pastor Kess Nomuoja,   both represented the governor, Chief Gabriel Ojoba, SA to the governor on community development, Hon. Onoriode Agofure, deputy leader Ugehelli North legislative arm/ councillor representing Agbarho ward 1, Hon. Collins Oguma, councillor Agbarho ward 3,Hon. Stanley Omamohwo, supervisory councillor, Ughelli North LGA of Delta state and others.
