Chief Tonobok Okowa cannot thank God enough for his abiding grace in letting him achieve so much in a short while as the Executive Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission.
He is also indebted to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his untiring support in taking sports to an enviable height in the state. Chief Okowa, who is also the President, Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) expressed his appreciation Sunday, February 13, in Lagos, at the award ceremony for eminent Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in sports development by sports promotion and management company, SportsVille.
He bagged special recognition award. Other awardees include Chief Sunday Dare, the minister of youth and sports development (innovative), Danladi Bako, ace sports caster and a chief of the Sokoto caliphate among others.
Edo state deputy governor, Phillip Shaibu, was the special guest.
