How Okorocha caged Imo state House of Assembly

IMO-Imo state is bleeding yet not even the anti-graft body seem to have
the nerves to cough as a result of the unrivalled affinity between the
Imo state Governor and the President.

Daily Watch investigations’ at the EFCC office in Abuja confirmed that
there are over sixteen genuine petitions against Governor Okorocha
monumental looting of the state resources but none has been and will
be investigated as the order not to do so is said to have been issued
from the  presidency verbally through the chief of staff to the
President against any embarrassing statements, acts against the
governors of Zamfara and Imo no matter the Petitions against them and
the Paris Fund investigations that proved very monumental looting of
the duo.

Daily Watch findings in the state capital confirmed that the Governor
operates like a king rather than a Governor of a state as re doles
hands into the state coffers like his personal accounts and spend
unbudgeted funds recklessly with the state House of Assembly unable to
raise a whi,per as a result of what many called their caging during
the early ceremony of Okorocha coming to power where the members were
made to take oath of allegiance to Okorocha and Okorocha alone and
the said Oath not the normal Oath but that with some traditional and
spiritual embodiments.

Daily watch can confirm that the silence nd nodding of the State
Assembly members without check from the House is as a result of the
fear of the consequences if and when any goes against the Governor in
the State House of Assembly.

Okorocha unbudgeted expenditures is not the only sources of looting
but the wife is even more pronounced, the wife who round an NGO that
feeds directly from the state coffers has collected several  billions
unbudgeted funds which included several millions from the Paris fund.

In Imo State, the fear of King Okorocha is the beginning of Wisdom and
his close affinity to the Presidency who sees or hear no evil against
Okorocha seem to have embolden him in his looting spree as reports has
it that over 80 percent of the Paris Refund is unaccounted for while
the anti-graft body and the State House of assembly look the other
way.

In Imo state the yearly Budget is merely a ritual as the real stuff is
done independent and spontaneously by the governor even when there not
in the yearly Imo Budget.

Take the case of the contraction of status for South African President
and the Liberian President, there exist no place where it was budgeted
for as it was merely a decision of the Governor who makes the Budget,
approves and executes same. All around the state the same scenario is
replicated in Projects execution with the state House remaining a lame
duck.

According to Frank Ibe A political Analyst in the state Okorocha
lootings and maladministration  has taken Imo state ten years backward
and has turned the state to an 18th century fiefdom where the King is
supreme and take no opposition .In his words “Okorocha has taken 21st
century act of Governance back to the 18th century where no opposing
views is broker where members of the House has been caged with Oath
they foolishly entered with the Governor, where over ten family
members are   appointed to the  positions of Money  in the state with
the recent been the sister in a so called Ministry for Happiness to
the Okorocha’s,, where budget is now mere rituals and unbudgeted
expenditure and contracts the Vogue, where all construction work is by
the Governor or family companies with costing by the same and
approvals by the same family, where wife is a queen and goddess and
uses unbudgeted Imo money for a self-serving NGO and personal
aggrandizements, where Imo starts and ends with the name Okorocha and
family plc .What a pity”’

Today, Okorocha words in Imo state is like laws to the ears as not
even the state House of Assembly can utter a contrary views or
approval of the House.

Almost all appointments are to his family from ministerial, to
commissioner for happiness that has become the Printers Devil to chief
of Staff to the Governor, to the controller of four Ministry which is
his wife his looting and family imprints is in every aspect of the IMO
state economy, governance, contracts etc with no one questioning his
fiefdom ruler ship not even the EFCC and the Presidency who sees in
him a perfect stooge in the EAST as such a perfect gentleman.

Attempts to reach Okorocha Media team on the petitions and system of
ruler ship in Imo state that has been likened by the People to a 18th
century fiefdom was not possible as the Media spokesman confirmed to
Daily Watch that he has not been authorized to speak on his Master
since the Ministry of happiness issue in Imo state came up.
