Youth leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, Comrade Sunny Erhengbo, has stated that the choice of the immediate past deputy governor of the state, Dr. Pius Odubu, as the chairman of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is right.
Comrade Erhengbo, who is a security expert, is of the opinion that with Dr. Odubu at the helm of affairs in the interventionist agency the narrative of the Niger Delta region will definitely change.
“Dr. Odubu is a man to be celebrated. I give God the glory for his appointment as the chairman of the NDDC. Also all thanks will go to the national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, who is also the immediate past governor of Edo State, for his large heart in making a case for the appointment of Dr. Odubu into the prestigious position.
“Dr. Odubu is a grassroots politician who understands the dictates of the political game and as such will not only impact on the people of the region but will always give regards to the political class as he embark on this national assignment.
“Comrade Oshiomhole has done a very marvelous thing by putting a round peg in a round hole.
“Needless to say that Dr. Odubu is not a greenhorn when it comes to reaching out to all and sundry. As a former house of representatives member and later deputy governor he has what it takes to use his new assignment to bring development closer to grassroots.
“The calibre of the new NDDC chairman is never in doubt and as sure there is absolutely no need to start a rigmarole of the things that he should embark upon as he commence his tour of duty,” Comrade Erhengbo enthused.
