The Coordinator Standards Organization of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom Branch, Mr. Dauda Lliya Mshelia has advise Nigerians to patronize their Local Made Product that has been satisfy with Standards Organization of Nigeria, as these product can also compete with other product in the international market.
The Coordinator Standards Organization of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom Branch, Mr. Dauda Lliya Mshelia who gave the advice while speaking with Journalist during the 11th National Council on Industry, Trade and Investment Conference in Uyo.
With the Theme: The Role of Small and Medium Business in Poverty Alleviation in Nigeria: The Way Forward.
Mr. Dauda Lliya Mshelia wonder why Nigerians could not have the ability to patronize their own Product which has been satisfy by the Standards Organization of Nigeria, as he emphasis that Charity beings at Home for example the Table Water that is given to participant in the conference was bought from Rivers State while they are competent and generally accepted Table Water Companies that is satisfy by SON exist in Akwa Ibom was not patronize during the conference not that the Table Water brought from Rivers State is bad but was amazing to experience such development.
He called on Nigerians to always have the habit of patronizing our product which would encourage the Local Investors to put more effort in achieving their business dream understanding they are also contributing their own quote to boost the economy of the state and the Nation at large.
The SON Coordinator Akwa Ibom State said despite the issue of patronizing our Locally Made Product, NGOs and Government should have the ability to train Primary and Secondary Children on Skills especially small and medium business enterprise having knowledge towards that direction which in years to come the country would become industrial heaven where local and foreign investors would take advantage to invest across the country.
He used the opportunity commended Akwa Ibom State Government for hosting this year conference despite the economic meltdown believe their deliberation in the conference would be positive to cover and fish out the lapses in the sector. He said the theme of the conference which is the role of small and medium business in poverty alleviation in Nigeria came at the time the stakeholders needed it.
