The people of Ikot Umo Essien In odoro Ikot Clan In ESIEN Udim Local Government Area has raise serious alarm and condemn the action by battalions of officers Nigerian Army Ibawa Invaded the residents of Chief MONDAY ESUH over a false allegation or intelligent given to them by villagers who are enemies of progress that has lost completely on election to occupy the village head stool.
The officers search the village head home about 5 Am on Friday being 8 July 2022 and invaded the entire compound without compromise over false allegation against the Chief MONDAY ESUH of training kidnapers, cultist and especially training IPOB members which they allege that he is their leader in the community.
Speaking with JOUNALIST S in his palace in Essien Udim Local Government Area over the unfortunate experience carried out by the Nigerian Army Ibagwa, The village Head of Ikot Umo Essien, Chief MONDAY ESUH said it was a terrible dreamer as I was not at home but went for church program came to discover his house was search as they invaded the entire compound found noting towards the allegation giving to them.
“if I was at home I would have been a dead man by now over a false allegation or intelligence against me while the security agents cannot investigate properly the information given to them before taking their action to operate in my compound”
The village Head said no gun was found, no IPOB insignia was found no IPOB training ground was found as my opponents alleged. Should there not then be a punishment to those who feed the DPO with false intelligence just because they are aggrieved that I won the election and became the village Head of Ikot Umo Essien.
Chief MONDAY Lamented that the sane group had in 2020 petitioned him to the commissioner for Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs alleging that he is a cultist, kidnapper and that he keep the village guns in his house, a false allegation he noted led to his arrest and detention by the anti-kidnapping squad for three days at the state police command only for him to be released after all investigation proved false as he was innocent while the commissioner for Local Government Affairs dismissed the petition as baseless since there was no supporting facts.
According to him three of his children where arrested and detained, the trauma he noted they are yet to recover from which he personally have not recover from the shock he experience at home.
He has called Akwa Ibom State Government and the Commissioner of Police to come to his aid over false allegation against him by some enemies of progress in the village while they should also called the DPO Essien Udim to order.
In related development the indigenes of the community condemned the entire drama by the security agents and allege that it is those that contested the traditional stool of the village that failed are the one giving fault information against the Village Head and also through their activities has generated unrest in the community while they also cause an abomination during the village day of 28th December, 2021 without informing the Village Head, the indigenes said enough is enough over their attitude as they would revolt over the issue and also call on the government and the commissioner of police Akwa Ibom State to properly advise the DPO Essien Udim to act professionally when issues come to a stable.
