ASABA-Delta State Chapter Coordinator of Nigerians Asking For Atiku (NAFA), Dr Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has again stressed the need for Nigerians and the good people of Dellta State to massively support the election of His Excellency the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for President and to overwhelming re-elect the Smart Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa in 2019.
He made the appeal in Onitsha, Anambra State on Saturday 25th August 2018, while speaking to newsmen at the funeral ceremony of late Mrs Chineze Essien, sister-in-Law to Atiku, Waziri Adamawa.
Oghenesivbe who is also the Executive Assistant to Gov Okowa on Communications said the present political dispensation does not call for sentiments, adding that there are known credible Nigerians who are qualified to rescue Nigerian from the failed APC national government under President Muhammadu Buhari.
He noted that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has been identified as a team player, a highly detribalised leader and an astute politician with massive grassroots support across the six geopolitical zones, pointing out that for PDP to win the 2019 Presidential elections, it must not fail to field Atiku to rescue power from Buhari and the APC failed national government.
Oghenesivbe further asserted that beyond sentiments the only panacea for the restructuring of Nigeria is for Nigerians to support and vote Atiku as President come 2019, adding that Atiku it was who vandalised President Obasanjo’s third term bid as a proof of his laudable patriotic and nationalistic disposition.
When asked on the possibility of Gov Okowa re-election in 2019, the EA communications to the Smart Governor of Delta said his boss the Governor is a political phenomenon and a master of the game of electioneering tactics, adding that the everyday noise by the clueless leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state goes to no issue.
“Gov Okowa DEY KAMKPE and we are not loosing sleep over the numerous rantings of APC national Chairman, Adams Oshiomole who have since lost out in the multifaceted and dynamic game of partisan politics, judging from the massive defection of key members of his party to PDP.
“Oshiomole has been rejected by his party men and women as well as Nigerians because of his little or no knowledge about internal democracy within party structure management as against the excellent job of Chief John Oyegun, who the Buhari administration used and dumped in the trash can of misguided politics.
“Gov Okowa remains the only outstanding governor in Nigerian today, loved and deeply appreciated by Deltans and Nigerians across board. His monumental achievements in roads infrastructure, sports development, agriculture, quality health care delivery backed by social health insurance policy, revamping of technical education, human capital development through jobs and wealth creation are glaring evidence of his good governance strides and proactive leadership antecedents within the last three years in office.
“Deltans are no gullible folks, they know a good man when they see one, and Gov Okowa is “THE GOOD MAN” of State State.
“Come 2018, the Smart Governor shall shock Oshiomole and his internal and external political detractors by an overwhelming landslide victory at the polls along with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as President,” Oghenesivbe assured.
