Mulade hails IPF, says Ijaw nation now has a voice

The National Coordinator Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, Amb. (Chief.) Sheriff Blessing Mulade has applauded Ijaw journalists coming together to form  Ijaw Publishers Forum, lPF, nothing that the organization will tell the pains, woes  and marginalization story of the Ijaw nation.

He said he would give his best to support and encourage IPF at all time, even as IPF prepares for its maiden inauguration which comes up 29th February, 2024.

Mulade gave the assurance on Friday at his Africa for Peace Center office Ugolo, in Okpe LGA during a courtesy visit by IPF led by the National Chairman, Comrade Austin Ozobo.

Mulade appreciated IPF for organizing themselves to form a formidable forum in promoting ljaw interest with their various media organizations.

According to him, said: ”I want to first appreciate you all for your good works in promoting the ljaw cause with your platforms.

” I am honoured to be identified with IPF. By the special grace of God, l shall be part of your inauguration. With IPF we can tell the real story of the ljaws in the Niger Delta to the global world.”

Speaking further, Mulade expressed confidence in Austin Ozobo capacity to lead IPF to an enviable height. While urging lPF to identify with NUJ national body in order to be a partner in progress.

 

On his part, the National President of Ijaw Publishers Forum ( IPF) Comrade Austin Ozobo expressed gratitude to God for the formation of IPF. He assured that IPF under his leadership will continue to run a robust media to protect the oppressed people of Niger Delta people and unity of Nigeria as one entity for peace and progress.

He also applauded Chief Sheriff Mulade for standing for the Ijaw nation and people of Niger Delta at all time selflessly. He promised IPF will be on the part of truth and defend the defenseless across border, irrespective of tribe, religion and political line.
