Love Afodu standard school wins Mulade quiz, essay competition 

Winners of Mulade 6th edition of the quiz, essay completion, Ewoma Godstime and Elohorn Francis of Love Afodus Standard School, Igbide Isoko South LGA with the organizer Chef Sheriff Mulade, CEO CEPEJ

Love Afodus Standard School in Igbide, Isoko South Local government Area of Delta State
has emerged winner of the 6th Edition of Comrade Sheriff Mulade N100,000  Quiz & Essay competition.

The organizer Chief Sheriff Mulade, chairman Centre for Peace & Environmental Justice, CEPEJ put together fourteen schools as participants from the Delta south senatorial district took place 16th February, 2022 at the federal Government College, Warri, Delta state.


In his address during the competition, National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, Chief Comr. Sheriff Mulade, said  the  annual competition was  aimed at bridging the gap between riverine areas, rural school and their urban counterpart so that the coastal schools can have a full taste of what they have been denied in terms of academic competition and exposure.

According to him, “We are using this opportunity to promote and sustain the existing peace among the ethnic nationalities in the Communities within this Region by promoting the love that exist amongst us, particularly Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo and Isoko ethnic groups”.

He thanked the various secondary schools who participated in this year 2022 edition. He noted that his organization gave scholarship to winners of the competition since it began till they finish their secondary school education.

The initiator of the competition, Mulade Sheriff on behalf of CEPEJ, presented various cash prizes to Participatntans as Ewoma Godstime and Elohorn Francis of Love Afodus Standard School, Igbide Isoko South Local government clinched the first position and smiled home with the  N100,00 cash prize.

Scholarship was also offered to Young Efiri Trustgod of Gbesa grammar School Ojobo from ,Burutu Local Government Area for clinshing the second position. Omaghomi Emmanuel and Eke Precious of Iwere College Koko Warri North Local Government Area took third position.

The Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu who was representated by the chief inspector of education, Warri South Local government Area, Prince Alekwe Theophilus, lauded Chif Mulade and members of CEPEJ for the contribution towards uplifting rural education in the state.

The commissioner stated that the  competition has helped to foster unity, peaceful Coexistence among schools and teibes in the state.



A student of Hussey Modern College; Nwachukwu Emmanuel and a student of OgbeIjoh Grammar School, Eyefa Jerusalem Commend Sheriff Mulade stating that their lives has been impacted positively with this initiative

The Schools that participated in this year quiz competitions includes; Akugbene Grammar School, Bomadi, ; Love Afodu Standard School, Isoko South; Gbesa Grammar Schoo,Ojobo, Burutul, Iwere College, Koko, Warri North; Government Model Secondary School, Patani; Erejuwa II Grammar School, Ode-Itsekiri, Warri South; Evans International School, Isoko North; and Ogbe-Ijoh Grammar School, Warri South-West Local Government Areas.
