WARRI- Immediate past Governor of Delta State,Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan,
the incumbent Governor,Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the Peoples Democratic
Party,PDP amongst others on Tuesday November 28 drummed support for
the Warri South Chairmanship Candidate of the party,Mr. Michael Tidi
and his Vice,Mrs. Ann Divine Iniovosa in the forthcoming local
government election slated for January 6,2018.
Dr. Uduaghan who spoke at the PDP Campaign in Warri stated that he is
interested in Michael Tidi’s programme which includes
“Peace & Security, Agriculture, Education and empowerment”.
Dr. Uduaghan said,”We are very happy and we shall assess and market
you to victory in the election.”
While noting that the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP cannot afford to
loose any ward to the opposition in the State,Delta State,Governor
Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa stated that party faithfuls must work for the
party’s victory.
Governor Okowa thanked the party leaders in the area including Chief
Joseph Sisanmi Otumara,former Commissioner of Health and Chief
Emmanuel Okumagba for bringing the people together.
Governor Okowa also thanked political appointees for working with them.
Governor Okowa urged the people of Warri South particularly the youths
to work for the victory of Michael Tidi and his running mate, Ann
Divine Iniovosa to make Warri peaceful again for investors to come in.
Governor Okowa also expressed the beliefs that Warri will become
peaceful again saying,” Without peace, investors will not come. We
must work Tidi and his vice to make Warri peaceful for investors to
come in.”
While presenting the Party’s flag to Michael Tidi and his vice,the
Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP,Barr.
Kingsley Esiso urged them to work for their victory saying,” We want
to win election and win well. We don’t want to win by election by
writing names. You must work for your victory.”
Esiso also challenged the opposition in the State to campaign if they
are on ground.
“We dey campaign but drm dey sleep. When we win, Dem go cry.”
Esiso assured Governor Okowa that Warri South is for PDP come 2019
given the population that greeted the campaign today.
The member representing the people of Warri Federal Constituency,Hon.
Daniel Reyenieju and the members representing the People of Warri
South Constituency I&II, Hon. Shola Daibo and Hon. Dennis Omovie,Chief
Joseph Sisanmi Otumara, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba, Hon. Vincent Uduaghan
assured tue governor of Tidi’s victory at the polls as they promised
to mobilize and vote enmass for the PDP in their domain.
