Legislator Gives back to Society as over 500 Youths Trained in Vocation

WARRI- Hon Sharta Benjamin, legislator representing Ovwian ward in Udu LGA, Delta State  has given various items of starter packs to over 500 graduands  through Sharta Foundation one month skill acquisition training in Ovwian, Udu LGA of Delta State.

Speaking at the hand-over of the stater packs/graduation ceremony, the Chairman of the Sharta Foundation, Hon. Sharta thanked the people of Ovian community and appreciate them for the support given to him.

 

He said that he was inspired by the love the ward shewed on him by giving back to them through skill acquisition training to jobless youths, aimed at taking them away from the street.

According to Hon. Sharta, the gesture is part of continuation of the state governor  Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa’s SMART agenda of prosperity to all Deltans. He urged graduands and recipients of the various starter packs to make good use of the opportunity.

The items, include computer sets, sewing machines, Hair barbing clippers, shoe manufacturing tools, soap making equipment, hair saloon equipment and so on.

Chairman of the occasion, High Chief Steve Sokoh, President General of Udu Communities, commended the good gesture of the law maker and prayed God to bless and continue to take him higher. Chief Sekoh described the young politician as a man  who has a kind heart.

He urged other politicians in the area to emulate the young selfless politician to move the community forward.
