Except President Mohammadu Buhari stand his ground in spite of the monumental pressure from most APC leaders, the 2nd term ambition of Kogi state Governor Yayaha Bello seemed set to end the way of ex Lagos governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Daily watch investigations confirmed that, the fight for the seat of Yahaya Bello seemed to be getting really tough as several top APC leaders are said to be I the forefront lobbying the Presidency to shift ground on its reported strong support and backing for Bello whom they all see as a grand failure in the affairs of Kogi state and are pushing the Candidacy of retired Admiral Jubrin Usman as the man fit for the APC as governor of the state.
Daily Watch investigations confirmed that though Bello has severally reached out to Bola Tinubu for backing in his quest for a 2nd term ticket and even promising to fully hand over the tax business I the state to the Jagaban of South West Politics, that doesn’t seem to cut ice in the mind of the Jagaban who sees Bello as a man than leans towards the El-Rufai Caucuses of the APC and may likely tilt towards the EL-Rufai’s camp come 2023 hence the support for admiral Jubrin who is seem as fiercely loyal to the Tinubu’s political family.
Daily Watch findings confirmed that only a small thread is still holding the Yahaya Bello’s support pillar in the heart of the President as he may soon be dumped just the same way Akinwumi Ambode despite El-Rufai and the President initial strong backing got consigned to the dustbin of history s regards his 2nd term pursuit.
Daily watch investigations confirmed that certainly in the days ahead, the President backing for Bello may finally crumble taking into consideration the mounting pressure he is now facing over the Bello’s candidature from all quarters.
Already, Yahaya Bello seemed to be getting his information from some moles in office of APC top hierarchy right over his candidature and the plot to removed the rug of his feet and give his 2nd term to Admiral Jubrin Usman and has intensify his lobby on the president using several top Northern Muslim and traditional rulers to whom he has handsomely buttered their palms for the great battle ahead.
Daily Watch struggled to get Yahaya Bello’s Media boys to respond to the story of a grand lobby against his candidature by several top APC leaders but was unsuccessful despite messages to their phone on the issue.
