Kidnapped Bayelsa council chairman’s father regains freedom

The kidnapped father of Sagbama local government council chairman, Pa Napoleon Alale, Eighty-years old  has regained freedom after spending about three months in the custody of his abductors in Bayelsa State.
Hon. Embeleakpo Alale, chairman Sagbama local government area  in a statement released by his Press Secretary, Dr. Nikade Anderson on Tuesday reveals that the abductors handed over his father at Otuokpoti river in Ogbia Local Government Area at about 1am Tuesday, after making series of contacts with the family towards securing his release.
Though it could not be confirmed if any ransom was paid before he was set free.
Hon. Embeleakpo while noting that his father is receiving medical attention to ascertain his health status, expresses appreciation to God over the safe return of his father.
He expresses gratitude to  Governor Douye Diri and his deputy Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for their intervention and morale support while the arrowing experience lasted.
He also appreciates associates, members of the public and the press for the overwhelming display of solidarity during this trying period.
It would be recalled that Pa Napoleon Alale was whisked away from his countryhome residence at Agbere in the early hours of Friday, 8th of May, 2020 by unknown gunmen.
A local vigilante, Mr. Orusomo Aribotari, 40 years, who raised alarm and attempted to prevent the kidnappers was shot on his right leg and left hand.
When Contacted, Spokesman of the state police command,  SP.Asinim Butswat confirmed the development.
