Nsukka: A three year old baby boy allegedly abuducted for ritual
purposes at Ibagwa Ani community in Nsukka local government area,
Enugu state was released stack naked with hairs shaved down after four
days captive by his abuductors at an undisclosed location.
The abuducted child simply identified as Munachiso Ogbu of Christ the
King Nursery/primary school Ibagwa Ani in company of his immediate
senior brother a six year old boy were going to see their anty who
delivered a new baby when the abuductors allegedly intercepted with a
motorcyle and took away Munachiso to the confusion of his brother who
stood helpless.

Speaking with Daily Watch over the abuduction Mr. Emmanuel Ogbu (40) farmer
and father of the kidnapped child said that he was not at home as he
travelled to Enugu while his wife went to her biological home on that
faithful day of the incident of Sunday July 13th, 2018 when the
alleged kidnappers carried his son away, kept him for four days at an
unknown place.
Ogbu said that when both himself and wife came back in the evening of
that day, inquired of the boy, his immediate senior told them that
they were going to see the new born baby of their anty when another
small baby jokingly beat Munachiso along the road, he cried and turned
back to tell his daddy that someone beat him on the road and that was
the last sight of him.
‘‘After hearing from his senior brother, I raised alarm shouting on
top of my voice with my wife, the villagers came out en mass, conduct
search party from that hour till the next morning without any trace of
him. The next day I moved to Okpuje police station and Nsukka Area
command and reported while the search in my village Umuele, Ibagwa Ani
continued. We reported to the tradtional ruler of the community and
other neighbouring communities of Okpuje, Okutu, Anuka and Okpaligbo
Ogu of miising child. Two days after there was no trace of him, in
confusion of the helpless situation, we went to our parish priest of
St. John parish Ibagwa Ani and other pentecoastal churches in search
of him to no avail’’ he said.
‘‘some of the pentecoastal churches told us that he was taken for
ritual purpose but would be released after three days as the child
have a higher spirit that would not allow them to kill him’’
‘’on the fourth day we were on our way to Imo state to see another man
of God when my phone rang and inforned me that my child is back. We
made u-turn back to the village and behold my child. The kidnappers
brought him back on a Toyota Camry car, droped him at Akuma a nearby
village, stack naked, shaved his hair completely down and ran away’’
Mr. Ogbu said, while questioning the child on the little he could
recall of what he passed through for the four days, the child said
that the people covered their faces (he call them Police) and each
time he cries that he want to see his daddy, one woman will give him
biscuits to stop crying.
‘‘Few days after his release we were going to see one man of God
nearer to us, on reaching our village sequare the liitle boy said
daddy this is the place the police took me (meaning the kidnappers),
they spread searchet water on my eyes and mouth, used his small face
cap to cover his face and ran away. My child also said that the police
people (meaning the kidnapplers) started fighting among themselves and
forcefully put him in a car and told him that he was going to see his
daddy, when they droped him naked without seeing his daddy then he
started criying before others came to his rescue’
He said that he has notified Nigeria police Area command and Okpuje
police station that his missing child has been returned, adding that
they are under going laboratory tests for medical attention of the
child.
