His Instagram account also goes dead after the rapper’s flurry of controversial comments and odd behavior.

West, 41, also shut down his Twitter account last year for several months, but he was back tweeting in the spring.
Since then, he has been blasted on social media for his support of President Donald Trump and for his unusual statements about slavery.
“There’s nothing more maddening than debating someone who doesn’t know history, doesn’t read books, and frames their myopia as virtue,” “Captain America” actor Chris Evans recently complained on Twitter in a reference to West.
There’s nothing more maddening than debating someone who doesn’t know history, doesn’t read books, and frames their myopia as virtue. The level of unapologetic conjecture I’ve encountered lately isn’t just frustrating, it’s retrogressive, unprecedented and absolutely terrifying. https://t.co/4jCFwB4T5U

Last week, after his controversial appearance on Sept. 30′s “Saturday Night Live” season premiere, he suggested abolishing the 13th Amendment, adding: “Message sent with love.” But he later tweeted: “The 13th Amendment is slavery in disguise meaning it never ended,” adding: “not abolish but let’s amend the 13th Amendment.”
The amendment, adopted in 1865 in the aftermath of the Civil War, abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for conviction of a crime.
In explaining what he thought needed to be fixed, he said the amendment’s wording “translates to in order to make a freed man a slave all you have to do is convict them of a crime.”
West, who has discussed his struggle with bipolar disorder, also last week jumped on a table in a classroom at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and defended Tesla CEO Elon Musk. “Leave that man the fuck alone,” he said.

The bizarre antics followed West’s performance on stage after the end of the “SNL” premiere. West wore a MAGA hat, praised Trump and said that the “Democratic plan” is to “take the [black] fathers out of the home and put them on welfare.” Many in the audience booed.
