*12 confirmed dead as 1000 houses burnt
KADUNA-The Religious crisis engulfing Kaduna state took a turn for the worst as over 12 persons have so far lost their life with well over 1000 properties burnt down just as the state executive governor continues his political trotting and pontificators all over Abuja.
Daily Watch Visit to the Kasuwa Magani Kajuru Local government area was a scene of shock as the whole terrain is littered with burnt houses, cars etc just as the whole crisis seem calm for now but with snippets of information that the whole thing would pick gains as was the case before now.
Many people who spoke to Daily Watch on the crisis which occur as a result of sexual/love affinity / relationship between the two faith Muslim and Christian lambasted the state Governor for his lack of attention to the issues of religion in the state s they likened him to a man who goes about helping others to win laurels while his abode is on fire that is making reference to the Governor serial pontifications and political stories about APC and PDP while neglecting governance in the state.
Also describing the Crisis in a simple word, the Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly describe the whole thing going on in his state as ‘’A season of Mayhem’’ that if not checked would envelope the whole nation soon .
Daily watch spoke with the state Commissioner of Police Austin Iwar who confirmed and put the Death toll at 12 with well over 100 thousand houses burnt but reassured Daily Watch crew that the situation has so far been brought under control by men of the Nigerian police Force and the Military.
Attempts to speak to the two warring religious group and their leaders in the state was not possible as at the time of going to press.
