Comrade Joseph Evah, a prominent advocate for the Ijaw community and founder of the Ijaw National Association of Female Students, has once again demonstrated his commitment to the well-being of the Niger Delta region.
His recent support for a large-scale outreach organized by the National Association of Ijaw Female Students (NAIFS) underscores his dedication to the health and education of the Ijaw people.
The initiative, which focused on providing deworming treatments for children, was held in the Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri South-West Local Government Area. This effort was particularly significant given the health challenges faced by communities impacted by pollution and oil spills in the region.
In a collaborative effort led by Mrs. Stella Zauqei, the president of the Warri chapter of NAIFS, over 1,500 children and students from various communities, including Oporoza, Benikurukuru, Kokodighagbene, and Pepe-Ama, received much-needed deworming treatments, customized notebooks, and essential school supplies to enhance their educational journey.
During an interview with WaffiTV, Hon. Godwin Febaide, chairman of Oporoza community, expressed deep appreciation to Comrade Evah for his unwavering support. He praised the impact of Evah’s continuous efforts in empowering Ijaw female students and improving health conditions in underserved areas.
The outreach, which took place in November 2024, aligns with Comrade Evah’s vision of supporting grassroots health initiatives and preserving the cultural and environmental heritage of the Ijaw people. Over the years, his efforts through NAIFS have brought essential health services to hundreds of communities across the Niger Delta, highlighting the vital role of community-driven health programs in improving lives.
