IYC President congratulates Tuomo kingdom newly elected monarch

Ijaw youths Council (IYC) world-wide Barr, Pereotubo Oweilaemi has congratulated the newly elected traditional ruler of Tuomo Kingdom, Hon. Justice F.F Tabai (Rtrd).

IYC President in a statement signed by the national spokesman Daniel Dasimaka and made available to Daily Watch in Warri, said, ‘‘IYC congratulates the Pere-elect; commends Burutu local government council chairman for the  peaceful conduct of election to the throne of Tuomo Kingdom by the Council of Chiefs is highly commendable. The President of IYC, Mr. Pereotubo Oweilaemi, Esq. on behalf of the entire National Executive Committee commends the electoral panel and the delegates to the election for peacefully selecting a successor to the throne.

‘‘The Council also commends the observer of the election and Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele for midwifing a process that has ushered in a King into that exalted throne. The Council further thank all lovers of peace in Tuomo Kingdom for their steadfastness in conducting a hitch free royal election.

‘‘IYC also use this medium to congratulate the winner and Pere-elect, Hon. Justice F. F. Tabai JSC (Rtd). Your victory and ascension to that exalted throne will in no doubt marked the beginning of a new dawn in Tuomo Kingdom. Your pedigree and wealth of experience in public governance will uplift the Kingdom to an unimaginable height.

‘‘We are appealing to the contender of the seat and all those involved in the selection process to sheath their sword. The election has come and gone; a winner has emerged in the process. Let the Kingdom therefore unite to work with the new King for the betterment of all and sundry.

‘‘Due to the economic importance of the Kingdom to the State’s economy and its strategic position in the comity of kingdoms, IYC is appealing to the Delta State Government to accord the King with a first class status. We also call for immediate presentation of staff of office as soon as the coronation processes are completed.’’ He said.
