*As Alamieyeseigha donates wheelchairs, cash gifts, food items, others to Bayelsans

The apex youth organization, Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) worldwide has honoured a philanthropist and founder of the Nice-Esther For All Foundation (NEFAF), Chief (Mrs.) Nice Toboulayefa Alamieyesigha over her relentless pursuit for a better society for the physically challenged, widows, orphans and the less privileged ones in the Niger Delta region.
Chief Nice Alamieyeaeigha, who is known internationally for her humanitarian services, unveiled her Non-Governmental Organisation coined “Nice-Esther For All Foundation (NEFAF) twelve years ago, has been catering for the orphans, widows, destitutes, physically challenged persons, also provided scholarship, housing scheme, medical care and given soft loans to all.
According to her, her Foundation has finalized plans to build an orphanage home in Amassoma in Southern Ijaw local government area of the State, in order to make sure that voice is being given to the voiceless and dreams are achieved.
At the ceremony, she availed the opportunity to present dozens of wheelchairs, clutches, bags of rice and cast gifts amounting to millions to benefiting people in the region.
Her words: “It’s an honour I will forever be cherished, as I pledge to never relent in my course for a better society for the physically challenged, widows, orphans and the destitutes amongst us. It’s indeed a global path on my back and an encouragement to do more”.
The Founder also eulogized late Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha for blazing the trail for the Ijaw struggle for resource control and self-determination, and promised to consolidate on the legacies of the late ljaw hero in order to achieve set out goals, which she said ” that is what informed the decision of the Alamcoism Movement to support the Governor-Elect, Chief David Lyon and his Deputy, Senator Biobarakumo Degi Eremienyo”.
She described herself as a crusader of peace adding that the award received will spoil her to do more and promised to work tirelessly with the Board of Directors of her Foundation to expand the scope to reach out to people in the country.
She said the inspiration to start the Foundation came from her mother who placed the welfare and well-being of other children above her immediate family.
Meawhile, the leadership of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) worldwide led by its President, Barr. Oweilaemi Peretubo in recognition of her contribution to the Niger Delta region conferred on her the prestigious title of the “GOLDEN BRIDE OF IJAW NATION”.
Barr. Oweilaemi Peretubo, who led other zonal Chairmen, State and National Executives of the Council, noted that it is the first of its kind in the region and a formal induction into the ‘IYC Hall of Fame’.
Presenting the “Golden Bride of Ijaw Nation Award” on behalf of the IYC to NEFAF Founder and philanthropist, Barr. Pereotubo said the IYC is proud to be associated with the life transforming activities of the awardee through empowerment of the disabled, physically challenged, widows, award of scholarship to indigenous students in various universities, provision of housing schemes and donations to orphanage homes, granting of loans to business men and women, health outreach programs among others that have changed the narrative in the ljaw nation.
He commended Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Nice Alamieyeseigha for her selfless service, sacrifice and using her vantage position, worldwide traveling experience and resources to lift the vulnerable from the doldrums.
He urged well meaning Nigerians especially Niger Delta people to emulate the kind gesture of the awardee to reach out to the needy in the society.
Highpoint of the ceremony was the official presentation of plague and certificate of award to the Founder of NEFAF and formal decoration of IYC emblem on her.
Diginaries at the occasion was the Ebenanaowei of Ogboin Clan, His Royal Majesty King Oweipa Jones D.Ere III, other traditional rulers, among other notable Chiefs, in the State.
