The Acting Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League,NWFL, Club Owners Association, Madam Henrrientta Ehiabor has frown at the secret arranged Election done without her knowledge and other contestants.
While speaking with www.dailywatchng.org, the CEO of Delta Queens Fc said their action to conduct a kangaroo election without the presence of other contestants and club owners is capable of tearing the fragile Women league in Nigeria apart.
“After the Congress in Benin, we agreed that there should be no election for the NWFL club owners Association still further notice because of pressing issues that need more attention in our league since it is yet to start then”.
“But to my amazement few persons where contacted while others were deceived to attend a meeting in Enugu without the presence of other contestants to conduct an election”.
“We are meant to have letters from our various commissions authorizing each participant to vote”.
“Secondly how did she emerge winner with thirteen votes if there were only thirteen representatives and out of the thirteen ,three are part of the electoral committee and the those contesting are five for various position how was the vote conducted to arrive at that ,while the remaining club owner are not present”.
“I wonder why things are done wrongly. This is not a do or dey affair and it is unhealthy in trying to create faction in the female league too”.
Matilda Otuene Onyiloha who was brought in as the new chairperson of the NWFL club owners association was a board member of the female league and a close associate to the chairperson of the league, Aisha Folade, while Osahon Emmanuel was made Vice Chairman.
Those who made up the NWFL, Club owners association stakeholders include,16 NWFL clubs, 4 pro side and 3 amature club side.
However, Aisha Folade who was fingered as the master minder of the entire drama refused to feed us answer when she was ask to react.
Henrrientta argued that all stakeholders should be carried along no matter their statue .
