IMO-Is Okorocha ploy to foist his Son In law as the next executive Governor of Imo State to succeed him truly winning the desired converts or is it that the Governor is been schemed by the many who have endorsed the young vibrant Nwosu so as to get their millions from the executive governor of Imo state?
This seem to be the multi million Naira question Daily Watch tried to unearth in the Imo state capital days ago while on a visit to the state following the news that over twenty of the twenty seven members of the State House of Assembly has endorsed the Governor’s Son In law Uche Nwosu in exchange for an express APC ticket back to the House and some Millions to the Bargain.
Daily watch findings confirmed truly that as much as twenty if not even more members of the state Assembly and other Executive office holders in the state have keyed in into the Nwosu for governor train while over eighty percent of the Populace are totally if not fiercely against it.
According to investigations, many of the State Assembly members said to have accepted the Okorocha’s son in Law did so after been giving several millions coupled with an automatic Ticket beck to the House under the APC platform.
While Daily Watch could not ascertain if members of the executive in the train of Nwosu also got money it can be confirmed that many Imolites are falling over themselves to be part of the booty sharing game and many more are said to be forming one organization or the other all in the game of collecting several millions from the Governor in the name of backing his Son in law in the 2019 game plan.
Daily Watch spoke to the Imo state deputy Governor Eze Madumere who pointedly told Daily Watch that he is still on the Governorship pursuit as nothing but only god would stop him and totally discontinuance the story making the rounds that he too has collected several Millions to bow out of the race for an automatic Ticket from Okorocha to the Senate.
According to the Deputy Governor ‘’I am Still in the race to take over the seat of governance in the state come 2019 and would not drop my ambition for any reason whatsoever as only God almighty can stop me in this direction”
While many indigenes like Chukwudi Okafor are condemning the Okorocha’s plot as extremely selfish some others like Ibe Frank are saying it is a matter of choice come 2019.
In all Daily watch can confirm that the pro and anti Okorocha’s son in law groups are in a battle of attrition and only God can tell if many are on it for just the money or truly in their heart supporting and working for their dream.
While Several Imolites on the streets of Imo have vowed to pay their representatives in the Imo House with red card the House members seem totally oblivious of this antagonism of their constituencies against them and are totally in ecstasy with their new found candidate Uche Nwosu.
Attempts to speak to the man in the thick of it all Uche Nwosu was not possible as at the time of this report as he was extremely too busy to pin down.
Also not reachable is the Imo State Commissioner for information, Nnanndi Oberari number kept on ringing with no answers despite several text Messages.
