‘‘I have the singular honour of congratulating the elected vice chairlady and councillors here present for their well-deserved victory at the poll, today, beside representing your various wards, your composition would culminate in the constitution of the local government legislative arm in line with the delta state local government law immediately after taking your various oath of office today.
‘‘However, let me assert that the victory you recorded at the polls did not come by your personal capabilities but largely due to the trust the good people of Bomadi local government have in our party- people democratic party (PDP) and their beliefs in our capacity to deliver in our electoral promises. This is the trust we must ensure is kept on the front burners through diligence, hard-work and services to our people.’’ He noted.

‘‘It’s pertinent to note that the task of bringing the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of our people start with you- the lawmakers hence you cannot afford to fail. You do agree with me that the people democratic party (PDP) in delta state is synonymous with good governance as exemplified by the developmental strides of our amiable governor, senator (DR) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa who enjoys a good working relationship with his strategic partners in progress, the members of the delta state house of assembly.
‘‘In this regards therefore we must replicate that perfect working relationship and reflect such synergy in the relationship between the legislative and the executive arm of the local government council in a bid to domesticating the governor’s smart agenda besides our election is a collective call to serve and it will be in our own interest and in the interest of our people to shun corruption and unnecessary infighting’’ he admonished the councillors.
