The Ijaw naional congress (INC) supplementary election which was billed for 20th July has been suspended indefinitely.
In a press statement signed by the Chairman of the Electoral committer, Dr, Benedict Binebai, said ‘‘Notice is hereby given to all sons and daughters of Ijaw nation at home and in diaspora that the Supplementary Ijaw National Congress (INC) Election scheduled to hold at Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, at the Ijaw National Secretariat (Ijaw House) on the 20th of July has been postponed indefinitely. A new date will be announced in due time.This postponement is highly regretted’’
It would be recalled that the Ijaw National Congress, the apex socio-cultural group in Ijaw nation worldwide had earlier scheduled July 20th 2019 to conduct a supplementary election for the president of INC, Vice president I, Vice president II, Secretary general as well as the financial secretary.
