BURUTU- Executive chairman of Burutu local Government area. Hon Godknows Angele at the weekend has threatened  council civil servants and political appointees to be shown the way out, if found absent at their duty posts with no genuine reasons.

Angele disclosed this at the weekend in his office in Burutu, headquarters of the council area, Delta State while addressing section of civil servants, said ‘‘ I understand the transport challenges in our council area. I also understand most of you stay far away from the council headquarter. But I  believe strongly that all of you have accommodations in Burutu here. That is to say, I would not want to see locked or empty offices because of absenteeism during the five working days during my reign here.

‘‘ That era has gone when civil servants  and other political office holders receive salary without seen in their duty posts. I will personally supervise attendance with HPM to know those who turn Burutu council to milking ground while the council suffers undue financial stress’’ he warned

He said he would improve working conditions of both civil servants and political office holders, including legislators better by making monthly payment without delay as at when due. He noted that the universal law of workers/manager relationship is prompt payment of wages which improve productivity and promote industrial harmony.

Angele noted that he is not in the council to please or impress anybody in the council. But promised to do the right thing in compliance with council’s administration and in line with the best practice for posterity to judge him in the future.

‘‘ As you can see, I have been here in Burutu with you people from Monday till Friday since we resumed official duty, and we will continue this practice until the end of my tenure. I want you all, both councillors, senior civil servants and political appointees to key into the habit of punctuality to make Burutu great again’’ he urged .
