Ijaw nation mourns as Gbenekama loses wife

The Ijaw nation and  Gbaramatu kingdom in Warri South West local government area of Delta state have been thrown into a mourning following the painful exit of the wife of High Chief Godspower Gbenekama who passed away after a brief illness.

With profound sorrow and total submission to the will of Almighty God, the families of Gbenekama from Azama and Benikrukru Communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West LGA, and Late Mr. Sunday E. Odeh of Uruto Quarters, Ozoro in Isoko North LGA, Delta State, has announced the sudden passing of their beloved wife, sister, mother, and aunt, Ambassador (Mrs.) Blessing Oghale Gbenekama (JP).

Mrs. Gbenekama, who touched many lives, is survived by her husband, three children, and numerous relatives until her unfortunate passing away at the age of 40, was the Wife of High Chief God’spower Gbenekama.

The funeral arrangements contained in the announcement signed by Deacon (Prince) Isaiah Gbenekama for the family and Miss Tare Gbenekama for the children are as follows:

Service of Songs holds on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. At her husband’s Compound, Charlisco Warehouse Road, Off NPA Expressway, after NigerCat, Warri, Delta State.

On Friday, June 14, 2024, at 7:00 am, her body will depart from Safe Haven Mortuary, 2 Eyiangho Street, Off Aruoture Street, Beside Williamz Square Event Centre, O/L Warri, Delta State, to her hometown, Azama Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West LGA, for the funeral service and internment.

Family, friends, well-wishers and the general public are invited to support and condole the family in this painful moments of grief.
