Ijaw group celebrates brothers from same parents who graduate from same law school

The Izanzan camp, otherwise identified as Ijaw Intellectual Advocate (IIA) has celebrated two brothers, Barr. Ebilade Obiri and Barr. Wenebokefe Jonathan Obiri and their friend Barr. Prince Clement Omotoye during a reception party in honour of their successful graduation and being called to the Nigerian BAR recently in Abuja.

Speaking at the reception party held today in Warri, the National President of the Izanzan camp, Comrade Salaco Yerinmene said, ‘‘  It is with great joy and honour,  we on behalf of the Ijaw nation, organized this special reception party in honour of your successful graduation from the law school  and  called to the Nigerian BAR. We are proud of both of you. Barr. Obiri W. Jonathan was the founding spokesperson of the Izanzan camp. He voluntarily resigned in order top pursue his education. W expect you to take back your position in Izanzan camp for more refined intellectual agitation in Niger Delta.

Some of Delta state Ijaw media practitioners joined in the celebration of the successful graduation of their brothers from the law school and called to BAR.

His words‘‘ We believe in both of you and we are pretty sure you will not disappoint the Izanzan camp and the Ijaw nation. We have a great task ahead of us and your educational height will be a plus to the Niger Delta intellectual agitation.

”We highly trust and believe that they will never compromise their conscience for any reason whatsoever. The defenceless and oppressed will find hope and succour and above all the Nigeria judicial system will enjoy its untainted sanctity with the likes of them.
”Even as we congratulate them, we are strongly imploring them to be wide-awake and see themselves as defenders of the oppressed people of Ijaw Nation, Itsekiri Nation and Niger Delta at large while we assure them our persistent thoughts and prayers’’ he said.

Another celebrity journalist, publisher/CEO of Daily Watch widely read digital news media and British trained journalist, Mr. Cletus Opukeme thanked the organizers of the warm reception party for the two brothers and their friend who were called to the Nigerian BAR.

Opukeme challenged Ijaw youths to take education as the best priority and weapon to defeat poverty, ignorance and under development. He said the Niger Delta agitation should go beyond the guns, but also use the power of books and pens as weapons, especially the media to prosecute the age-longed oppression and under development of the Ijaws of Niger Delta who produce the largest quantum of oil/Gas in the nation and had less in terms of sharing formula .

On their parts, Mr. Richard Aziz Ebibofa, Chairman of the occasion, Comrade William  Welemu, Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo (National Ijaw youths Council (IYC) President who was represented by his personal Assistant, Comrade Kanko Daniel Moni and Comrade Princewill Binebai, the Publisher, The Liberator Newspaper expressed gratitude to God for the successful graduation of the Ijaw youths from the Nigerian law school and were called to BAR.

They urged the celebrants to continue to uphold the truth and work hard to attain more titles in their chosen legal profession to make the Ijaw nation proud.

 

The charged other Ijaw youths to continue to take the challenge to pursue their educational career with vigour, adding that education is the bedrock of development in any societry.

In an appreciation speech, Barr. Prince Clement Omotoye  who spoke on behalf of the two brothers thanked members of Izanzan camp and all Ijaws who gave a warm reception to them from the Nigerian law school. He pledged that they would always keep to the rule of law and dispense of justice at all times, where they would stand truth and for the oppressed in the society. He prayed to God to bless all those who celebrated with them for more blessings in their various endeavours.
