Ibom Air introduces new flights bouget for Saturday and Sunday

The Akwa Ibom State owned airliner, Ibom Air will operate additional flights services from Lagos and Abuja to Uyo on Friday and Sunday February 14 and 16 by 7: 30 am, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Sir Charles Udoh has said.

This was contained in a Short Electronic Message (SEM), via the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Chats Room in Uyo on Thursday.

Though, the Commissioner was not detailed in the sudden emergency schedule flights operations but, the new deal by the airline, it was alleged, was not unconnected with the state burial of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s father, late Elder Gabriel Emmanuel Nkanang, whose funeral service and interment is slated for Saturday February 15, 2020 at the deceased country home in Awa Iman, Onna Local Government Area of the State.

It is presumed, high profile Nigerians and others would throng the state, to accord the Governor’s father their last respect hence, the introduction of additional flights schedule into Ibom Air bouget.

The flights operations, according to Sir Udoh, would routinely convey passengers to Lagos and Abuja from Uyo by 7: 45 pm same day.

“Ibom Air operates additional flights this weekend.

” In addition to its regular scheduled flights, Ibom Air will operate 7.30am flights to Uyo from Lagos and Abuja between Friday February 14, and Sunday 16, 2020.

“There will also be 7.45pm flights from Uyo to Lagos and Abuja on the same dates”.

The Commissioner however, informed the prospective passengers to book their tickets on: https://www.ibomair.com/ and avail themselves the opportunity of traveling in a state of the art air bus, with promptness, safety, assurance and reliability.
Meanwhile, preparations for the burial of Pa Gabriel Nkanang, who died at 90 years has reached a high point, with the reconstruction of the funeral pavilion, after a mysterious rain wrecked havoc on the earlier one last Sunday night.

No life was lost but, sympathizers were full of praises to God, the incident happened prior to the epic event this Saturday.

Observation by Daily Watch shows that, Awa Iman Community is already wearing a new look a head of the funeral ceremony, as residents of the area capitalized on the preparations to do brisk businesses.

Daily Watch was reliably informed, some security personnel in mufti are also on hand to ward off criminal elements and maintain decorum in the once rusty town of Awa Iman before and after the ceremony on Saturday.
