England beat New Zealand by a tie breaker to win the Cricket World Cup for the first time.
After the final was tied after regulation play,it went into the World Cup’s first-ever super over in its 44-year history as a rule explained was required on the big screens
England were eventually crowned World Champions by virtue of having scored more boundary fours and sixes in the entire match.
Before now, England had previously lost three finals, including one at Lord’s but with this win for England, New Zealand have now lost two straight finals.
