Herdsmen storm Benue governor’s village on fresh killing spree

BENUE -Recalcitrant   Fulani herdsmen described as mere criminal gang by the Buhari Government again has stormed Nanev Community in Ukpam, Guma local government area of Benue state in a commando style yesterday with several deaths on their trail.

The gunmen who were said to run in to over fifty were said to have hit Guma the country community of the state Governor wielding all brands of sophisticated weapons burning, looting, shooting and killing any and everything in their sight.

Guman which was one of the communities attacked in the much spoken about January 1st Genocidal massacre that left  over fifty persons dead and which kept the  world in absolute shock till date played host again to the wicked marauders.

According to Daily Watch Investigations the herdsmen armed with several Dangerous weapons stormed the community Friday evening shooting and setting houses ablaze.

According to a resident Josiah Idam spoken to, he confirmed that the herdsmen burnt down about 30 houses completely with over ten persons confirmed dead in the attack coming up barely three days after about seven Fulani natives were burnt to death in Gboko.

Also confirming the attack was honorable Anthony Shawon, chairman of Guma Local Government Area of Benue State who liken the unprovoked attack to a deliberate ploy by the herdsmen to kill all his people and totally take over their homes.

Meanwhile, the Benue governor had disclosed Thursday that the Fulani herdsmen were preparing another fresh killing in the state soon.

Attempts and messages to the state Police PRO Moses Yamu was not replied or answered to in spite of the persistent text messages and calls put to his mobile line
