*Over 4,000 people flee communities as security forces are nowhere near killing field
TARABA-They warned, they vowed they came and they unleashed mayhem, terror and bloodbath, that is exactly how to describe the commando style and ruthless attack staged by the herdsmen in Taraba state just days after informing the people of their coming.
Despite the hue and cry by the governor of Taraba to the high heavens of a planned attack by the herdsmen they eventually came and took all communities on the route to the cleaners killing, looting and burning with no security on their route in spite of the Governor reportedly warnings all though the week.
Daily Watch confirmed that well over 4,000 people have fled their different communities in Gassol, Ibi and Wukari Local Government area following attack by herdsmen.
Daily Watch several persons have so far lost their lives at Amad, Jambe, and other surrounding communities in Wukari Local Government area of the state on a trip by Daily Watch to the affected area which was totally deserted as people of the communities have all fled to Sabon Gida Mutum Buyu and Dan Anacha all in Wukari LGA.
Daily Watch can also confirm that over 74 communities housing over 4000 people from Yerima, Sabo Gida and several others are now totally deserted as no single security was o ground to protect the people despite diverse alarms and cry of the state Governor Ishaku Darius about the oncoming attack by the so called Criminal gang aka herdsmen.
The attacks which are still ongoing in several other communities even as at the time of these reports is as daring as there are brutal with several killings on the rail.
Speaking with the Special assistant to the Taraba state Governor on Public affairs Mr. Bello Emmanuel he confirmed the onslaught on the communities in the state and prayed the military would be deployed to clear off the Fulani menace from the state.
The state police command PRO a David Misal also confirmed the attack and said the Police are in full alert to help ward off attacks
