*70 massacred in plateau, 27 in Kogi
*Kogites haul abuses, blame Gov for granting herdsmen ‘killing permit’.
LOKOJA- Like possessed and demented souls the notorious Fulani herdsmen seem to be getting more brutal, bold, fearless and even cruel in their killings all around and along the North Central states as their recent killing haul within one week has hit a shocking 100 and still counting.
Daily Watch investigations confirmed that the marauding herdsmen seem to be either careless about the visit of the President or challenging the president vow to bring peace to the not Central as they opt to vent their anger on the people of Pleteau state just days after the President Visit and launching of a five year Road Map for peace in the Pleteau.
The herdsmen who left horror,tears and blood in their trail were said to have killed over 70 persons in the state with several thousands still missing and billions of Naira worth of properties bunt and destroyed.
The killing spree which cut across several communities like Vika,Dafo, Nghakudung, Moroc,Hohom,Wareck Gando also left over 2,000 inhabitants of the mentioned communities displaced and as refuges with about three Soldiers and two mobile Police officers of the Operation Safe Haven also dead.
Already, communities in Basa Local Government Areas like Nzururo, Dudu, Rafik diang are totally deserted as the herds men match along in their dastardly act of killing freely.
Just like in Plateau so it seems in Kogi state the so called ‘ New abode of herdsmen’ according to the state Governor Yahaya Bello who months back asked his people to welcome any and every herdsman and treat them as citizen as to do otherwise means dethronement of the Traditional Ruler of any place in Kogi that opposes the herdsmen coming into the state just for his Political ambition and to up the registered Voters for Electoral gains.
Daily Watch investigations Confirmed that the Marauding herdsmen who landed the state months back launched a fierce attack on the people Dekina Local Government Area hiting two communities of Oganienugwu , Ikende and Abejukolo in Omale local Government Area of Kogi State with 27 death as usual on their trail.
Already Communities like Obakumu, IdirisuPji-Apata are deserted over the whole Fulani brouhaha.
At a last Count the Death toll in the two states of Kogi and Plateau in the North Central as hit over 100 mark and still counting with several people still missing and yet to be accounted for.
Mos people of Kogi State Haul abuses on the state Governor for bringing the death knell to the people f the state for mere Political gains and lambasted him to clear the rot he has created in the state.
A woman Leader Madam Cathrine Chatu like almost all Kogites Spoken to described the Governor as blinded by Political ambition to wholeheartedly welcome the herdsmen to the state.
In her Words “’This man Yahaya would one day kill all of us with his selfish pursuit of power or how else can one described his bringing of ant infested firewood into this state, he should and must hurriedly clear the rot he has created before it would consume the state”.
Daily Watch spoke with the theater commander of the Operation Safe Haven who confirmed the Death of three of his Men ad two Police officers and also confirmed the attack of the herdsmen. Same also with the state Police Boss ASP Mathias Tyopev who also confirmed the attack and death toll in the herdsmen attack
