A Popular Hotelier based in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area,in Delta state, Chief Thorpe Edijana has been shot death by known gun men.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday Afternoon, May 2,2022.
Daily Watch gathered that the assailants invited the Victim from his Hotel, Thorpesky Global Hotel located along Agbarho/ Ughelli Express way through a telephone call inviting him to come to his house, on his arrival after a brief conversation, immediately unknowing to him , the assailants opened fire on him..
This Reporter could not ascertain what transpired when the Hotelier got to the House but unconfirmed report has it that the assailants shot the Victim three times- on the legs and rib in a close range to make sure he does.
When this Reporter visited the Victim home, non of the family members was prepared to speak to the press as they were said to be mourning the gruesome murder of late Chief Thorpe Edijana.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Mr. Bright Edafe in a telephone chat with this Reporter confirmed the gruesome murder of the Hotelier, saying that investigation is ongoing to unravel what led the killing and those involved in the murder.
As at the time of filing this report, Sympathisers were trooping to the disease home to console the family
Late Chief Thorpe Edijana left behind his wife, Mrs Ese Edijana- Ughelli North Local Government Council Chairmanship Candidate under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the last Delta State Local Government election and Children.
