The youths under the aegis of Sylva Youth Vanguard (SYV) numbering over 5000 which membership cuts across the 105 wards matched from the APC Secretariat along Mbiama- Yenagoa Road to Tombia Junction amidst cheers and jubilation from residents who came out to welcome the youths and their candidate.

Addressing the youths at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat, the Director General of the Sylva Youth Vanguard, Mr Joseph Kiyaramo said the rally is a victory walk for the APC to take over power from the PDP come November 16 poll.

Kiyaramo noted that the 8 years of Governor Dickson government has brought nothing to the youths but suffering, slavery, joblessness and hunger and called on the leadership of the party and all party stakeholders to work together to ensure that the PDP is voted out of office.

He stated that Sylva Youth Vanguard is declaring hundred percent for David Lyon because he is a humble, God fearing and philanthropist who is touched by the pains and sufferings the ordinary Bayelsans are passing through.

He said: “We are very happy because the solidarity/ sensitization rally was a huge success and has received the support and blessings of Bayelsans.

“The mammoth crowd that waved and cheered us is a pointer that at the end of the day come November 16 we are taking over Government House.

“The PDP has failed us in this state, our youths are suffering, no jobs, no employment. We have been in slavery for the past 8 years and we want to come out of slavery.

“Nothing is happening in the state, no light, look at our roads, no new road the only roads are the once constructed by Chief Sylva as governor.

“We have not seen any good thing the restoration government has done for that reason we do not want to suffer again for another 8 years and that is why we are standing for Chief David Lyon and Senator Degi Eremienyo for Governor,” he declared.

Kiyaramo added that “our group the Sylva Youth Vanguard has members which cuts across the 8 LGAs and 105 wards of the state.

“We are giving 100% support to Chief David Lyon with our membership strength of over 5000 youths across the state, let me assure you that come 2020 our candidate, Chief David Lyon will be in Government House.

“David Lyon is a man who has a listening ears and a philanthropist. We have not gotten a philanthropist who has govern Bayelsa state before so let us give him the opportunity.

“He has not held any elective position before yet he has employed over 15,000 youths and has also given out scholarship to over 200 students across the eight LGAs of the state.

“I know with David Lyon as governor restiveness and joblessness of our youths will be over,” he said.

Also speaking, Engr. Gift Okojina and Comr.  Samuel Furuebi Coordinators for Ekeremor and Sagbama LGAs respectively emphasized that what the PDP brought in its eight years is poverty, underdevelopment and hike in Niger Delta University (NDU) school fees and expressed the confidence that the pair of Lyon/Degi will take Bayelsa to the promise land.
