The Chairman OSH Association – Uk Nigeria Region, Dr. Kufre Essien said their mission is to create proactive awareness, and promote occupational health and safety knowledge to safe lives across the nation.
Dr. Kufre Essien spoke in Uyo during the Akwa Ibom Occupational Health and Safety Workshop and invesitive.
The Chairman said despite the challenge experience without relenting aimed at taking safety to every dull state of Nigeria and those living in Nigeria. So far we have map out schools, churches, government Ministries, and agencies and private organizations for a free safety awareness training and donation of safety equipment to above mentioned places and will solicit for their support to make sure their programs come to reality and succeed to experience safety environment across the state and nation at large.
According to him, the association in the past ten years have been working with Federal Government, State, Local Government, Multi-nationals and other coperate organization to achieve their dream despite the uphill task would not give up to succeed over their mission.
The President Pro-line International Company, Engr. Uwemedimo UmohUmoh said OSHA is a worldwide training program that seeks to. One of the major benefits of OSHA is that workers will learn more about safety which they had no previous knowledge before, while workers will also be more knowledgeable than before.
He said coming down to Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Industrialization Policy and Completion Agenda, OSHA will on her own part as a partner with Government, train and certify Akwa Ibomites to fee the Industries and Ministries, Manufacturing Sectors, Producing Organizations, Oil & Gas Requirements, Ibom Deep Sea Port, Middle and Small Scale Technicians for the benefit of the State.
One of the full membership inductee, Dr. Godwin Udofia said it is necessary for the people to experience training and retraining to have new knowledge or ideology for the sake of safety at home, office, ministries, schools, hospitals improving skills and standards for the best safety at any work environment while he would not relent to continue advise and assist or educate people about safety in their environment.
