WARRI- An Urhobo youth leader and media practitioner, Chris Eriyamremu, has said former Minister of state for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi should be commended and encouraged for his several investments in Urhobo land, Delta state.
Eriyamremu, responding to media publication that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa commissioned Gbagi’s new plaza under high tension, said ” Personally, I believe that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa wouldn’t have commissioned the project if not convinced of the safety of the property owned by Chief Kenneth Gbagi”
” Also, the Gbagi’s investment of a multi-million naira Robinson Plaza and the 18 pumps Falcon Bay Petrol Station at Effurun, Uvwie local government area of Delta State, commissioned by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa should be commended by Deltans, particularly the Urhobo people”.
He pointed further ” No matter what people feels or thinks about Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, is immaterial because Gbagi has proven himself to be an Urhobo great businessman who should be commended and encouraged for investing in Delta state to support the State’s economy and create employment and business opportunities for youths and graduates in Urhobo nation, and Delta state”.
” I think Governor Okowa’s decision or acceptance to commission the properties has contradicted the notion given on social media that the multi-million naira Robinson Plaza and the 18 pumps Falcon Bay Petrol Station at Effurun, were erected under high tension cables”
” I was told that at the commissioning of the projects, Governor Okowa expressed optimism that Effurun and Warri axis of Delta State would witness tremendous development in the next couple of years following the return of industrialists to the area and congratulated Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, Chairman, Falcon Bay Energy limited, for constructing the shopping mall”.
